Dear Friends and Family
I have a clear vision for the future. The next great revival will be in Central Asia and the Caucasus and by the time you read this I shall have been to Kyrgyzstan to set 2000 young people from the whole region on fire to go back to their own countries with power to evangelise and see revival. Then, Poland in a 5,000-seat arena, I will be preaching the Gospel with miracles of healing to confirm the message I preach. We have a busy schedule for the next two months because time is short, doors for evangelism remain open only for a brief period.
What we are achieving together with your support is powerful in changing nations, specifically Ukraine. The decision to go ahead with our 11th National Prayer for Ukraine in the very heart of Kyiv in this, the most critical summer of the war, was a very heavy one. But the heads of ALL Ukrainian Churches agreed, they had a responsibility before God and before the people to continue with the Prayer.
Our venue, where we met in 2025 and again this year, suffered serious bomb blast damage during the winter. As Ukrainians do, all was quickly restored, but with plastic sheeting still covering the windows. Despite another massive missile and drone attack on downtown Kyiv on Thursday night through to Friday morning, on Saturday 4th July thousands packed the venue. We had a team of hundreds of ushers and musicians, and almost 30 Bishops. representing ALL Christian confessions in Ukraine, ALL united in prayer for Peace, Victory and Blessing. After 12 years of Russian aggression and nearly 5 years of full-scale invasion, Ukrainians are suffering extreme stress in their souls. But their motto remains: TOGETHER WE ARE UNBREAKABLE.
We have a video Ukrainians made, and which was shown at the opening of this year's event. Called ‘Held by God’s Mercy’, it poignantly reflects the gratitude of the Ukrainian people to the Lord for His protection and mercy through the desperate 12 months since the Prayer in 2025, thanking God for ‘one more chance to pray together, in the same place, in 2026’.
Despite what you may hear about the war on the news, my message was a strong prophetic word of encouragement to the nation: ‘I believe God is working out a specific purpose through this war. In Ukraine we will see the biggest miracle of this generation. ‘Painful as it is, God is using this war to change your nation. Through prayer you have succeeded in uniting all the churches in Ukraine; it’s incredible and unique in the world! You are cleaning out corruption at every level of society. The courage and unprecedented innovation of your people have transformed your military into the most modern army in Europe, and you are defeating what was thought to be the 2nd most powerful army in the world! In the midst of your pain and suffering, I see a big miracle taking place. You have become a powerful demonstration to the world that God answers prayer!
‘Deuteronomy 4:29-31 says, “If from where you are (in suffering, in war) you will seek the Lord your God, you will find Him, if you seek Him with all your heart and all your soul. When you are in tribulation, if you will turn to the LORD your God, and be obedient to His Voice, He will not forsake you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant which He swore to your fathers.”
‘I have watched prayer change your nation. Our God answers prayer, and He has a covenant with YOU. He will NOT forsake or forget you. He will deliver you by the Power of Jesus’ Name. Our God is a God of War – war against the devil – and He has NEVER been defeated in battle! Ukraine! God is with you, you will win, you CANNOT be defeated. Like a woman in labour, you are going through great stress now, but all that changes when the woman gives birth to new life! Ukraine! Out of your suffering a new nation is being born, and you will see the greatest move of God yet on this earth!’
The meeting closed in a powerful sense of God's Victory. That day, and many days afterwards, participants were posting their good impressions, some saying that it is these Days of Prayer during the war that have been the highlight of every year!
The key thing is that I was born into a revival which has never left me but has given me a hunger for what God showed me 70 years ago from Joel 2&3, a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit before Christ returns. What I am doing now is, as Paul says, forgetting those things which are behind but pressing forward – in the purpose and plan of God. I’m not the master; I’m only a servant desperately seeking daily to do what HE has planned. It is not for me to know all that tomorrow may bring, but to have a strong enough faith to know that the future is in His hands, that His plan is perfect, that He foreknew the end from the beginning.
My job is to be ready and sensitive to the move of the Holy Spirit in time and space. We have run out of money to finance the next steps in a world where cost of everything is rising everywhere. How can we fund large scale evangelism with no money? We need to pray like George Mueller prayed when he had no money to buy food but sat his 300 orphans down at the empty breakfast table – and God answered his prayer!
