Bible Distribution in war-torn East Ukraine

In cooperation with the Ukraine Bible Society, David Hathaway’s Ministry distributed over 300 Bibles in the grey and red zones of East Ukraine (these are zones which neither Ukraine nor the Russian-backed separatists control), December 2018. In addition, food and other essential supplies were shared. Michail Panochko, Senior Bishop of the Ukraine Pentecostal Church Union joined the trip and said, “As Christians we should not stay in comfort and safety at home but go to where God’s Word and love is needed, urgently, today, now!”

David has personally visited this disputed zone and knows first hand how fragile the situation is, and how desperate the people are for peace and a solution to this on-going crisis.

Since the start of the conflict in April 2014, there have been more than twenty ceasefires, each has failed. The most successful attempt to halt the fighting was in 2016, when a ceasefire held for six consecutive weeks. The latest ceasefire came into force on 29 December 2018, and failed the same day.
