God hears the cries of your heart

So many people do not understand who God is. He is not just a great Being in Heaven. If unbelieving people try to draw pictures of God, often they liken Him to an old man with a beard. But God is not an old man, nor does He look like you, He can only be recognised by His actions! And God is not just in Heaven, He is everywhere

Now, how did Moses know that he was talking with God? He saw a burning tree. When I preach the Gospel, you will not see a burning tree, but you WILL see the power of God! God said to Moses, ‘I have heard your prayers, I’ve heard your cry.’ But you say, I don’t know how to pray. God not only hears but sees the cries of your heart! God knows your pain; God knows your weakness. God hears the person who is crippled with arthritis, the murderer in prison, the drug addict. God does not condemn; He hears their cry. He WANTS to answer with a fiery demonstration.

So God said to Moses, ‘Go and find this old devil Pharaoh and tell him, let these people go!’ Today He calls us to say the same to the devil about the drug addicts, the alcoholics, the sinners, the criminals, the people that are hurting, the people that are in need, ‘Let them go!’ But Moses was afraid – like some evangelists and pastors! In Exodus 4:1 Moses answered God, ‘They won’t believe me, they won’t listen to my voice, they will say, ‘You don’t know God, how do we know that you have met with Him?’

Who is God, and How Does He Answer Our Prayers?

Understanding the true nature of God is essential for spiritual growth. Many people hold misconceptions about God's identity, His presence, and how He interacts with humanity during times of suffering.

1. What is the True Nature of God?

Common cultural depictions often incorrectly portray God as an old man with a beard living exclusively in heaven. However, scripture and theology clarify His true attributes:

  • Omnipresence: God is not confined to heaven; He is everywhere simultaneously.

  • Recognised by Action: God does not look like humans. His presence is recognised through His divine actions and the manifestation of His power.

2. How Did Moses Recognise God?

In the Old Testament, Moses recognized the presence of God through a supernatural sign: the burning bush (or burning tree). While modern believers may not see a physical burning tree, the Gospel continues to be demonstrated through the tangible power of God moving in people's lives today.

3. Does God Hear Prayers If You Don't Know How to Pray?

Direct Answer: Yes. God does not just hear spoken words; He sees the internal cries, pain, and weaknesses of the human heart.

God’s compassion extends to everyone, free of condemnation. He actively hears and responds to the cries of:

  • Those suffering from chronic illness (such as arthritis).

  • Individuals trapped in addiction or alcoholism.

  • The brokenhearted, sinners, and those incarcerated in prison.

Rather than condemnation, God desires to answer these cries with a powerful, transformative demonstration of His love and freedom.

4. The Mandate to Deliver the Hurting (Exodus 4)

Just as God commanded Moses to confront Pharaoh and demand, "Let my people go," modern believers, evangelists, and pastors are called to command spiritual breakthrough for those in bondage today.

Overcoming the Fear of Misunderstanding

Like many modern leaders, Moses experienced fear and doubt. In Exodus 4:1, Moses answered God:

"They won’t believe me, they won’t listen to my voice, they will say, ‘You don’t know God, how do we know that you have met with Him?’"

However, the power of God is validated not by human eloquence, but by the physical and spiritual liberation of the people hurting and in need.
