God wants to fill you with Fire

God wants to fill you with fire, because He changes men. God wants to use you personally and I want to challenge you with this thought. When God seeks men to use today, He does not look for the ones we would look for.

In Exodus 3:2 the Angel of the Lord appeared to Moses in a flame of fire in the middle of a bush. Moses was not expecting to meet with God, and he did not see Him, he simply saw a BUSH ON FIRE. If you were walking along the street, and you saw a tree on fire, you would go and look. But when Moses looked, it was not normal, the fire was in the tree, but the tree was not burnt! It was the evidence of the presence of God like burning fire!

People today say, I cannot see God. Where is He? But whenever I preach the Gospel I say, ‘I will PROVE to you that God is here, because God will work MIRACLES,’ unusual things like this burning bush!

God spoke to Moses out of that fire, ‘I have seen the affliction of My people which are in Egypt, I’ve heard their cry. I know their sorrows.’ So many people do not understand who God is. He is not just a great Being in Heaven. If unbelieving people try to draw pictures of God, often they liken Him to an old man with a beard. But God is not an old man, nor does He look like you, He can only be recognised by His actions!

How Does God Choose People? Understanding the Burning Bush and Miracles

Many people wonder how God chooses whom to use or how to see His presence today. In the Bible, God rarely chooses the people society expects. Instead, He reveals Himself through powerful, unmistakable actions that transform ordinary lives.

1. The Meaning of the Burning Bush (Exodus 3:2)

In Exodus 3:2, the Angel of the Lord appeared to Moses as a flame of fire within a bush. Moses wasn't looking for a divine encounter; he simply noticed a bush that was burning but was not consumed.

  • The Evidence of God: The unconsumed fire was the physical evidence of God’s presence.

  • The Character of God: Out of the fire, God spoke, saying He had seen the affliction of His people, heard their cries, and knew their sorrows. This proves God is not a distant entity, but a compassionate creator deeply aware of human suffering.

2. How Can We See God Today?

A common question for modern seekers is, "Where is God if I cannot see Him?" While culture often mistakenly depicts God as an old man in the sky, the Bible teaches that God is recognized by His actions, not a physical human form.

Today, God's presence is proven through:

  • The Power of the Gospel: The preaching of the Gospel changes hearts and minds.

  • Modern Miracles: Miracles serve as the modern-day "burning bush" – unusual, supernatural signs that prove God is actively working in the world.

  • Personal Transformation: God wants to fill individuals with His divine fire to personally use them to change the world.

Key Takeaway: God does not look for the qualified; He qualifies the called. He reveals Himself through active power, miracles, and a desire to personally transform your life today.
