Expect Greater Miracles: Why the Full Power of God Has Only Just Begun
It is easy to open the Scriptures, marvel at the parting of seas or fire falling on Mount Carmel, and assume that God’s greatest works belong exclusively to ancient history. But God is not a relic of antiquity. The same God who breathed life into existence holds uncontainable power right now – and He desires to demonstrate it in our generation like never before.
The Centre Cross Holds the Key
True power begins with understanding who Jesus is and the cross He bore. Outside Jerusalem, three men hung on crosses. One rebelled and mocked; the other recognised the King of Kings and whispered, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”
Jesus alone holds the key to the kingdom of God. If the world could catch even a glimpse of the majesty of heaven – its brilliance, its presence, and the sheer power of its worship – they would surrender everything they possess just to be there. Salvation and eternal life flow exclusively through the centre cross.
Miracles Belong to Our Day
God did not expend all His strength in Biblical times. When Elijah called down fire on Mount Carmel, it consumed the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, and the dust. It obliterated the natural order through pure divine authority. Yet that same power is active today.
Throughout decades of ministry – whether witnessing miraculous intervention inside communist prisons, watching fierce Mediterranean storms cease in an instant at the name of Jesus, or seeing thousands turn to faith – one truth remains absolute: God reveals Himself through His power. He changes hardened hearts, stills impossible storms, and moves sovereignly across nations.
The Latter Rain and the Return of Christ
The prophet Joel spoke of two downpours: the early rain and the latter rain. Rain in Scripture represents the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. While the early Church experienced extraordinary wonders, the promise for the last days is a greater spiritual awakening – a final, unprecedented outpouring of the Spirit upon all flesh before the return of Jesus Christ.
We are living in an hour of prophetic acceleration:
Spiritual Awakening: Multitudes are filling the “valley of decision,” ready to hear the truth of the Gospel.
Prophetic Fulfilment: Global conflicts and tensions surrounding Jerusalem align precisely with ancient Biblical prophecies concerning the final showdown and the Lord's return.
The Coming King: Christ will return, stand upon the Mount of Olives, triumph over every enemy, and inaugurate a reign of righteousness and peace.
The days ahead are not for spiritual timidity. We serve a living God who actively desires to pour out His Spirit, confirm His Word with signs and wonders, and prepare the earth for the return of His Son.
