Day of Prayer for Ukraine, July 2026
In the heart of Ukraine’s capital, on Independence Square, where the voice of freedom has echoed through generations, Christians once again gathered in prayer for Ukraine.
At a time when every word of support carries special meaning, people of all ages, backgrounds, and communities came together as one.
United in faith, they lifted their hearts to God, praying with hope for their nation and its future.
They prayed for Ukraine’s defenders, for the families waiting for loved ones to return home, for children who deserve to grow up beneath peaceful skies, and for every city, town, and village where the spirit of an unconquered Ukraine continues to live on.
The gathering began with a minute of silence – a moment of profound stillness, a moment of reflection, a moment of remembrance. Together, those present honoured the courage of Ukraine’s defenders and paid tribute to all who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of their country.
On this day, every prayer became an expression of love for Ukraine. Every raised hand reflected gratitude. Every face told a story of faith, resilience, and determination. For we are united by more than hardship; we are united by our responsibility to one another, by our love for our homeland, and by our faith in the future God is preparing for Ukraine.
A place of unity, gratitude and strength
The annual Prayer for Ukraine is more than an event: it is a place of unity, a place of gratitude, a place of spiritual strength. Standing side-by-side were people who work each day for victory – those who support the military and civilians, those who serve through acts of compassion, volunteer work, words of encouragement, and faithful prayer.
Together, they prayed for peace and protection, for healing from the wounds of war, for wisdom for those entrusted with making difficult decisions, and for the strength to remain compassionate, steadfast, and faithful – to never lose our humanity, to never lose our faith and hope.
David Hathaway, a longtime friend of Ukraine, shared words of encouragement and support with the gathering. His message was a call to stand firm, to hold fast to God’s promises, and to believe in the day when victory, peace, and restoration will come to this land.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in this year’s Prayer for Ukraine: to the organizers and donors, to the volunteers and the partners, and to every person who came, served, supported, and stood together in this moment of united faith. For it is through gatherings like these that the strength of a nation is renewed – the strength to remember and support, the strength to act and move forward.

May this prayer continue to resonate in our hearts, in our daily choices, and in our responsibility toward one another. For Ukraine stands stronger in faith and unity, and as long as our prayers rise, our hope endures.
