Dear Partners in Evangelism!

We must be aware that with the rise of Covid-19 and the re-imposition of lockdown measures, not only here in the UK but worldwide, this so called ‘new normality’ will not improve over the next six months. This means that we are going to experience one year of strict control until Spring 2021, and if Australia is an example, it will be until 2022. Unless God works a miracle!

The good news is that our ministry in the UK continues! It is in my heart to encourage prayer, so we have booked a 90-minute programme of prayer and worship which will be broadcast on Revelation TV at 7.00pm, as well as online on our usual media sites, on Remembrance Sunday November 8th. This will be Remembrance for the fallen and for Covid-19 sufferers. It will also be a time of prayer for deliverance from lockdown and wisdom for the Prime Minister!

Also, our ministry in Israel continues! During September, over their most holy days, Israel was once again under lockdown, thousands of new coronavirus cases being reported daily, overwhelming hospitals, and Covid-19 deaths climbing. Fear and depression are gripping the hearts of young and old. For many Holocaust survivors and their families, forced home quarantine is causing extreme social isolation, resulting in both mental and physical illnesses. Our ministry is doing everything possible to support these housebound seniors. Taking extreme care and caution to obey all social-distancing rules, our volunteers in Israel stand firm in faith and continue to deliver humanitarian parcels and pray for the most vulnerable. It is amazing to see how God’s love and power brightens the hearts of these former prisoners of the Soviet ghettos. They are always very grateful for the continued support we give them. Through your generous support we can reach even more with the love of Jesus.

I am now facing the greatest challenge of my life in Poland! I have been invited by one of the most senior archbishops in Poland to spend a whole day to meet with, have dinner with and speak to approximately 800 of the most senior cardinals, archbishops, bishops and leaders of the Catholic Church in Poland. I must speak for more than an hour, then pray for the sick and bring the testimonies of healing! This event has been about one year in preparation. They accept their problems, and their failure to reach the people, and because of the outstanding success of our evangelism in Krakow and Katowice in 2012 and 2014, where we reached approximately 150,000 in the two cities, they want me to teach them! This could potentially have an even more powerful impact than the revival we have seen in Russia! I have delayed confirming the date for the meeting because of the Covid-19 situation but they now confirm that, with government involvement, it is now scheduled for November 6th. Yes, at the moment, I can enter Poland, but may have to go into isolation on my return.

I have been much in prayer for this Catholic Conference which is being organised by ourselves in conjunction with the Polish Charismatic Catholics, who recognise that David Duplessis, known as Mr Pentecost, brought them the Holy Spirit, but that my job is to bring them to Jesus! I desperately need the Holy Spirit to take control and show me exactly what to do and say, then to see the most powerful miracles they have ever experienced as confirmation. Just as Jesus did. However one of the biggest miracles we need is to raise the finance to pay part of the costs, because of the present situation in Poland, they have just asked us for a contribution of 67,000 euros , the actual cost of bringing and accommodating so many is much greater than that! Unfortunately, like them our income is also down because of the economic crisis.

We also continue our work in Ukraine where, as a result of our major prayer initiatives, not only do we have the Sport Palace booked for another National Day of Prayer, waiting for the lockdown to relax, but the Bishops’ Committee have officially asked me to hold major evangelism involving all denominations – to be held the moment the restrictions are lifted.

There is no question that the enemy is very active at the moment. Yes, I am aware that there is almost a tsunami of private prayer and groups who are praying. Let me encourage you, God is not deaf, and He will hear the faintest cry, especially yours. But during the last war, it was the miracle of a nation praying in public, which touched not only God’s heart, but the hearts of those who were not Bible Believers. To encourage you – I can report that something is stirring the mulberry trees. I have heard the sound, but it is still too faint. All this presents us with a real challenge to pray. Our petition for a National Day of Prayer is growing, but far too slowly for us to present it at the moment. Your email contacts are the answer! I need you to pray, because we need a minimum of 100,000 signatures.

We need to pray for a great spiritual move in Britain during this renewed lockdown. The government may restrict us, but God is not restricted! A national crisis like the present can make people realise their need of God – but are we in a position to reach them with a positive message? I hear too many negative messages of judgement on the nation. My greatest experience of evangelism and even revival came in the greatest crisis to hit Russia during the collapse of communism in the 1990s. Because my message was of love, forgiveness and hope, it reached the lowest levels as well as the highest and brought in Russia what some have said was the greatest revival ever – a nation that had denied and outlawed God in its legal system. This comment comes from an eminent Christian leader in Russia, and from a secular professor of social science, an advisor to President Putin! ‘Christ came into the world, not to condemn the world, but that by Him the world might be saved.’

Please pray. What is making the challenge to call a National Day of Prayer very difficult is that, from what I hear, the Queen is reluctant to do it, the Archbishop is reluctant, and the Prime Minister is too busy. The other problem which the leaders face is complex. 80 years ago, the nation was predominately Christian, with some Jews. Now, with the acceptance of multi-culturalism, what leader can call a Day of Prayer without being obliged to include Moslems and other minority religions? There are many other small, but very vocal, minority groups who seem to be allowed to demonstrate without hindrance. If all Christians stood together and agreed on one simple thing, there would be more than two million of us! Are Christians in the UK so disunited that there is no leader who could get the support to do it?!

  • Please pray. A group of Christian MPs have tabled a motion in Parliament asking for a Day of Prayer.

  • Please pray urgently that I will be able to speak personally to the Prime Minister in the near future.

  • Please pray also that God will raise up a leader who will be able to unite the other Church leaders so that together they will call a National Day of Prayer. – That is a better possibility than asking a politician!

Finally – Pray, pray! That God will change Poland and bring mighty Holy Ghost Revival and deliverance – and that we can pay for it! Not forgetting our ongoing costs for relief in Israel of 20,000 euros per month, as well as Ukraine. Also, salaries for our overseas staff and the cost of broadcasting on Revelation TV!!!

David

Thank you for supporting the Ministry of David Hathaway through prayer and finance. Because of you, the Gospel is preached online in multiple languages every week, & Russian Holocaust survivors and their families living in Israel receive humanitarian and spiritual support.

Jesus is our guide and ever-present help. He will never abandon nor forsake us. The same God who goes before us and holds our hand, will safely lead us home to glory. ‘I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.’ (Psalm 73:23-24)
