On 12th June David Hathaway was in Lviv, Ukraine, to hold a United Day of Prayer - joined by churches of every denomination from across the nation. Broadcast live on YouTube, up to 3000 attended in Lviv itself, the largest Christian gathering permitted since the war began. We were honoured to have the Governor of the Lviv Region Military Administration taking part in the prayer with us.
David said:
'We are standing together with you in prayer until the Victory. In 6000 years, God has never ever been defeated. And my prayer is that your army will never be defeated. In the Old Testament, God commanded Israel to drive out every enemy nation. Today He commands YOU to drive out the enemy nation. He will NOT allow you to be destroyed. For 61 years I have declared the Glory of God all over your nation - and His Covenant with you IS DELIVERANCE.
'Just days before Putin launched his brutal, unprovoked and unjustified invasion of your land in February, I was in Kyiv where we held an emergency United National Day of Prayer. I declared in prayer before your whole nation that not one Russian soldier would enter Kyiv. They penetrated to your very gates. They committed unspeakable atrocities on your peaceful people. But against overwhelming odds, with God's help, and at great cost, within one month you drove every last soldier and every last tank back across the border. They did NOT enter Kyiv! It was a massive deliverance for which, today, we give God all the Glory.
'Now you are fighting for your very existence in the East. When the King of Syria sent his enemy army to surround and seize Elisha for passing the military secrets of Syria to the King of Israel, Elisha told his servant not to be afraid. Today I pray for you like Elisha did, 'O God, open the eyes of Ukraine to see that the Army of God defending Ukraine is greater than the enemy surrounding her.'
'Do not be afraid. The nation that prays cannot be defeated. Jesus taught in Mark 11, when you pray, believe that you have what you ask - and God WILL give you the Victory!'
From Lviv in West Ukraine David went straight to Kyiv to see for himself the atrocities and extent of Putin's failed attempt to 'take Kyiv in three days' and impose a Russian-puppet Government on the people of Ukraine.
