September Humanitarian Aid Distribution in Israel

During September, over their most holy days, Israel was once again living under lockdown and restriction. Thousands of new coronavirus cases were reported each day, overwhelming hospitals, and Covid-19 deaths were steadily climbing. Fear and depression are gripping the hearts of young and old. However, David Hathaway’s Ministry in Israel stands firmly in faith, continuing to serve and love God’s people.

For many Holocaust survivors and their families, this pandemic is causing extreme social isolation, resulting in both mental and physical illnesses. In forced home quarantine, with a sedentary lifestyle, chronic diseases can worsen, leading to irreversible conditions. Our ministry is doing everything possible to support these housebound seniors.

Taking extreme care and caution in obeying all social-distancing rules, we continued to deliver humanitarian parcels and pray for the most vulnerable. It is amazing to see how God’s love and power brightens the hearts of these former prisoners of the Soviet ghettos. They are always very grateful for the continued support we give them.

Through your generous support we can reach even more with the love of Jesus.

‘God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.’ (Psalm 46:1-3, NKJV)
