I know Jesus died, but everybody dies. Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, all died and one day, unless Jesus comes first, you will die too. But the difference is that when they put Jesus in a grave, it couldn’t hold Him, the power of the Holy Spirit came into His dead body, He broke open that grave, He came out, He’s alive! What kind of Man is this? The grave cannot hold Him – the wind and the sea are obedient to Him – no demon spirit in hell can stand against Him – no human can resist Him! That’s the kind of God that I have!
The disciples in the boat marvelled at Jesus – they didn’t realise they had this kind of Man in the boat! They were astonished, what kind of Man is this, He’s got so much power – not just women and children but the wind and the waves – they obey Him! He is the Lord of Heaven and earth, the Jesus who still works miracles today – He is the Son of the Living God! And He’s my Jesus!
What kind of Man is this Jesus? Wherever I go, He’s in the boat! I’d rather be in a ‘storm’ with Jesus, than living in calm and peace without Him. I want you to know this real Jesus in your life.
Who Is Jesus Christ? The Power of the Resurrection
Many historical figures – from Lenin and Stalin to Hitler – have died and remained in their graves. But the defining truth of Christianity is that the grave could not hold Jesus Christ. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, He broke open the tomb and rose from the dead.
He is not just a historical figure; He is the living Son of the God who still performs miracles today.
What Kind of Man is Jesus?
The disciples themselves marvelled at His authority, asking, "What kind of man is this?" The Bible and Christian theology demonstrate His absolute authority over all creation:
Authority Over Nature: The wind and the sea are completely obedient to Him.
Authority Over the Spiritual Realm: No demonic spirit or power of hell can stand against Him.
Authority Over Death: The resurrection proves His ultimate power over mortality.
Authority Over Humanity: He is the undisputed Lord of Heaven and Earth.
Key Takeaway: Jesus is not just a teacher or a prophet; He is the Son of the Living God who holds cosmic authority over the physical and spiritual worlds.
Finding Peace in the Storms of Life
In the famous biblical account of Jesus calming the storm, the disciples panicked because they forgot who was in the boat with them. Having Jesus in your life does not mean you will never face trials, but it means you will never face them alone.
The Power of His Presence: It is better to be in a raging storm with Jesus than to live in temporary worldly peace without Him.
A Personal Relationship: He is a real, living savior who accompanies believers wherever they go.
How to Know the Real Jesus Today
If you want to experience the miraculous power and peace of Jesus in your own life, you can invite Him into your "boat" today. He is alive, He is accessible, and He is ready to guide you through any storm.
