According to the Will of God, Part 1, (Romans 8)

According to the Will of God, Part 1, (Romans 8)

I want to talk to you on a subject which is very dear to my heart and encourage you to pray, based on a very strong and powerful experience in my life from Romans 8.

In 1964, as many of you know, I was diagnosed with throat cancer. I had refused ALL medical treatment. Yes, I had had the X-rays and the camera down my throat, many different tests, and every one of them confirmed that I had throat cancer. But I determined to pray my way through, in part because I was pastor of a church which had been founded on my evangelism and the miracles that took place in that evangelism. The miracles were recorded in the local newspaper – blind eyes, deaf ears opened, cripples healed! So I determined, NO medical treatment, I’ll fast and I’ll pray and God will heal me!

Standing on the Promises of God

Standing on the Promises of God

If you can believe just one of God’s Promises, if you can believe even just part of God’s Word – then I challenge you to believe the whole! I believe the Bible from cover to cover, I believe it is the inspired Word of God. I’m challenging you to have that confidence that God CANNOT and WILL NOT and DOES NOT FAIL! There’s an old song, ‘Standing on the Promises of God’! That’s what we have to do! Don’t go back to ‘Egypt’, don’t go back to the strength of the horses and the chariots – let’s stand absolutely firm on the Authority and Power of God’s Promises! And if you are going to believe just one, why not believe them all?

How great is our God

How great is our God

How great is our God! Sometimes we forget who our God really is: He made the heavens and the earth by His great power and outstretched arm; nothing is too difficult for Him! So much of Scripture, both in Old and New Testament, is based on God as the Creator. His greatness is evidenced by creation! The same God who created the heavens and the earth is fighting your battles. Just as He performed signs and wonders in delivering Israel from Egypt, so He will work miracles in your life. (Jeremiah 32:17-20.)

The Power of Jesus to calm storms

The Power of Jesus to calm storms

Most of us experience some powerful storms in our lives. That is why we need the reality of the Man who can conquer them. Let me challenge you: what kind of Man is Jesus? Wherever I go, He’s in the boat. I’d rather be in a ‘storm’ with Jesus than living in calm and peace without Him. I want you to know this real Jesus in your life. Lessons from 70 years of ministry: 'For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance.' (Part 13)

Seeing beyond the impossible!

Seeing beyond the impossible!

We need to have a clear vision of God's plan and purposes. Something tangible. The Bible instructs us to write it down and make it plain to read. All my life I've been working towards a goal; something I see in my spirit. As I look back over my life and ministry, I see what God has done, and because of this, I have an absolute confidence that God is going to continue to lead and direct my steps.

The Power of God revealed

The Power of God revealed

This pandemic is an unprecedented crisis. So often I quote the Scripture from Romans 1:16, I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ for it is the Power of God! Whatever nation we live in, politicians and scientists do not have the answer, but God does! He is revealing His Power now! Jesus was revealed to destroy the works of the enemy.

Can everyone be healed?

Can everyone be healed?

God desires for you to live in health: to live a full satisfying life. Sickness is from the devil. Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). I want you to receive those words deep in your spirit: to be settled on the truth of God’s Word. And until the day when your healing has fully manifested, know that His grace is sufficient, that He is all you need: His strength is made perfect in weakness. Lessons from 70 years of ministry: 'For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance.' (Part 7)

Possess all the blessings of God

Possess all the blessings of God

Possess the promises of God! So many believers are living in spiritual lack because they don’t understand the promises of God, and the power available to those who believe. Don’t just take the ‘spiritual’ blessings - take the land: possess what you need in the material realm as well. When Israel went in to the Promised Land, it meant war: but if they won, as God said they would, they could have an abundance, ‘a land flowing with milk and honey’, all their material needs supplied. Lessons from 70 years of ministry: 'For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance.' (Part 5)
