God has come to deliver

'I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; and I am come down to deliver them' (Exodus 3.7-8, KJV).

Jesus is the only one who can deliver! He wants to reach out to you! You need to find Him, not just for your miracle of healing, but to be set free, delivered from that sin, that problem you cannot get rid of. God gave His Son just for you: to rescue, deliver and heal you. That’s why when you are in a crisis, God is the closest. Not in your prosperity, not when you are on top of the world, but in the crisis, in the pain, that’s when Jesus is the closest to you. I thank God for my 10 months in prison for Bible smuggling – when I was tortured, when they were starving me of food, when they did every kind of bad thing – in the darkness of my prison, that’s when I found Jesus in a new way, the reality and evidence of who He is. When 60 years ago I had throat cancer, 20 years ago I had lung cancer – it was in the darkness of my despair that I found the real Jesus.

Healing, deliverance, forgiveness... stop struggling and come into His arms! So many of you who read this have secret problems which you cannot share, too deep, too hurtful, you cannot open up. But you need tell everything to Jesus, it’s the only way to be healed, delivered, set free.

Talk to Jesus. He’s listening. Ask Him to forgive your sin or to heal you. He loves you, He’ll answer!

He’s the God of miracles! Yes, I have problems – these mean I spend much time in prayer and fasting. Why? Because you cannot have miracles without first having problems! Every problem drives me to prayer which then brings another miracle! But people aren’t prepared to pay the price. And because they don’t want the problems, they don’t see the miracles. The Bible says that ‘the things that are impossible with men are possible with God’.

For one year I spent much time in prayer and fasting, seeking an answer to a desperate need. Twice I said to the Lord that I would fast until the answer came, I was so desperate, but I know that my God is a prayer-answering God! The first time I had to cease fasting before the answer came, only because I had to go to Ukraine for three weeks of intensive evangelism. The second time was after my return: tired and exhausted from the travelling and preaching and the effects of food poisoning, I re-commenced my fast, determined to continue until the answer came. After ten days, as I was praying and worshipping Him, I felt a tremendous sense of the Lord’s presence and I began to say, ‘Yours is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory.’ Suddenly it was as if this was the answer, and I began to say it again, ‘Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the Power, these are Yours by right, but the GLORY is what we give You as the answer comes and You receive the Glory from us!’ I felt confident at that moment that without question I would receive from Him exactly what I was asking, so that then I could give Him all the Glory!

I trust in you, Lord; I say, ‘You are my God.’ My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, (Psalm 31:14-15, NIV)

Addressing the Day of Prayer in Armenia, “I believe God has called me at this strategic time to your nation. Armenia is facing a crisis, but all our times are in God’s Hands – and that’s why we’re here together today. Your unity in prayer is something I have dreamt about for years. We are one Body, but many different parts. Together today we proclaim the Name of Jesus over this nation, and symbolically we cover Armenia with the Blood of the Lamb and claim God’s protection. Armenia, you do not stand alone against the enemy, God is with you. O God, put a wall of fire around this nation that no enemy can break through! Armenia, this is God’s message to you: ‘I have seen your misery, I have heard your cry, and I am come down to deliver.’ God – your God – is already here!”
