Amazing Miracles - The Power and Authority of God

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19, KJV)

The Bible teaches us that God put all power into the Name of Jesus and gave Him power and authority over sickness, to heal and work miracles – unlimited power. If you want an answer to prayer, Jesus told us, ask the Father in His Name and God will give what we ask! – “Father in the Name of Jesus, heal my sickness, deliver my family, break the curse, fill me with the Holy Spirit, give me power in my life!” Don’t ask in your own name – the Bible says, whatever you ask, if you ask the Father in Jesus’ Name, God will give it to you, you will have your answer! The Bible is very strong: you can have what you ask, but you must ask in Jesus’ Name. And because God the Father loves His Son so much, He will give you what you ask.

I have seen the incredible Power of God! Not just my own personal healings from cancer, and my release from a communist prison in answer to prayer. But I've seen miracles right from the start of my ministry. In 1994, I was ministering in Siberia. In one particular city, Susuman, a woman who had been brought from the hospital with crippled legs, able to walk only with great pain and the aid of a stick. This is where the biggest miracle of all began. This woman was so excited by her own healing, that at the end of the meeting she asked me to go into the hospital next day to pray with the other patients.

Going by taxi to the hospital next morning, she was waiting on the steps outside. Completely healed, she could walk freely and without any pain as she took me up the crude concrete stairs and into the first ward. Looking around at the men lying on their beds in this room I realised the need.

I prayed for the man on the bed to my right as I entered who had multiple sclerosis. He was the one I had been brought in to meet, but he had no real belief. Next to the window was another man. I talked with him through Svieta, asking why he was there. He told me that his back was broken, so I laid my hands on him, immediately all the pain left, he straightened himself and got up and ran off to make a cup of tea for me! By now the news of what God was doing was spreading, and another man who was almost blind came from a different room. As I laid my hands on his eyes, they opened, and he could see. Someone brought a Bible which was by the side of one of the beds and he read it excitedly, shouting in his enthusiasm for all to hear, “I can see, look I can read!”

He told us that until recently there had been little crime in this small community of 10,000, with the problem of unemployment and unpaid wages, crime was increasing. Significantly he told us, “People are in an unsettled period of transition from the difficulties under communism to an uncertain and maybe worse future. You have given our people faith and hope.” That was wonderful, coming from an unbelieving mayor.
