Rejoice, Jesus is calling you. If I could offer one encouragement, I would tell you to rejoice, to be of good cheer. Jesus came to seek and save the lost. What does that mean? Jesus is calling you; He wants to lift you up and carry you home. he has heard your prayer and is asking, “What do you want Me to do?”
“Jesus, help me!” - God hears the cries of the desperate and anguished. So many people are in the same position as Jairus: “Jesus, it is too late; my daughter has died.” But it is never too late with Jesus. No situation is too far gone; no person too lost, that the power of God cannot reach and save.
“Lord, don’t You care about us?” Facing a life-threatening storm, the disciples were just like us; although they did the right thing by going straight to Jesus, the problem was, Jesus was asleep! Yet God does care! He knows our circumstances. He’s acquainted with all our ways. You are fully know and loved by God.
When I was praying over my lung cancer in 2003, one passage was such an encouragement. In Jeremiah 33 God speaks to the prophet: at the time Jeremiah was locked in a prison – He wasn’t sitting in luxury watching a televangelist, he was in a prison! – And God says, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”
